A heroic student, who rescued his classmates from a burning school bus in Sharjah has had a very special visitor.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai met the young hero at his school in Kalba.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Sheikh Mohammed is seen having a chat with 12-year-old Khalifa Al Kaabi.
The quick-thinking boy managed to get two other students and the driver out of the bus, minutes before it went up in flames on Tuesday morning.
The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries in the incident.
Sheikh Mohammed visited Khalifa's school while touring the UAE's Eastern region to follow up on the start of the new academic year.
