A two-lane, 1,500m bridge that links Dubai Harbour to Sheikh Zayed Road has opened, reducing travel time from 12 minutes to 3, announced Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
It will accommodate 6,000 vehicles per hour and provides a direct entry to Dubai Harbour for those coming from Jebal Ali and Deira.
The project also includes several development works and surface improvements at the intersections extending along the bridge corridor, including another bridge from Dubai Harbour towards Al Naseem Street that is set to open in July.
