Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed major traffic upgrades at the busy Al Wasl and Al Manara Street intersection.
The improvements include a new lane for vehicles heading from Al Manara Street to Sheikh Zayed Road, as well as a dedicated U-turn lane in the same direction.
These changes have increased road capacity by 50 per cent and cut waiting times at the intersection by up to 35 per cent.
The upgrades are part of the RTA’s wider 2025 Traffic Improvement Plan, aimed at easing congestion, improving road safety and boosting connectivity in high-traffic areas like Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim and Al Safa
The enhancements support Dubai’s broader goals of enhancing quality of life and keeping pace with rapid urban growth.
