Camping has been banned on all public beaches in Ras Al Khaimah.
The municipality said the move was in response to an increase in complaints about campers misusing the beaches and encroaching upon public space.
Random camping activities have also distorted the general appearance of the shoreline.
The authority has warned of strict against violators and added that there is no permit system which allows camping on open beaches.
