Distance learning has been activated for government schools in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah due to the unstable weather conditions.
The local emergency, crisis and disaster management teams in the two emirates said students will switch to remote learning on Thursday, January 26 and Friday, January 27.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms lashed large parts of the UAE on Wednesday, and similar conditions are expected to continue in the coming days.
