Young people are the key to protecting the environment as they look to the long-term.
That's the view of UAE Minister of State, His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, who spoke at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.
Speaking to Dubai Eye 103.8's Brandy Scott at the event, he said that global policies to combat climate change are difficult to implement as politicians around the world tend to focus on the short term in order to be re-elected.
But His Excellency explained how the UAE is trying to take a different route to encourage the youth to make an impact.
He added that another area that the UAE can have a positive influence on the world stage is in cultural diplomacy.
