Abu Dhabi Police have posted a video on social media instructing motorists about the importance of moving aside safely for an ambulance or police patrol.
They say all drivers should gradually move to the right if the ambulance approaches from the left.
However, if the emergency vehicle is trying to cross a traffic light, they should make way for it and let it pass through the middle.
This summer, stiffer penalties were introduced for motorists in the UAE for blocking emergency vehicles.
Motorists will now be fined AED 3,000 if they don't let vehicles like ambulances through on the road.
