His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, has hailed the contributions of his mother, the late Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, on Emirati Women's Day.
In a post on social media platform X, His Highness highlighted his mother's "compassion", "mercy" and "care".
He posted a video interview with Lady Liese Clark, wife of Sir Terence Clark, who served as Dubai's Assistant Political Agent from 1965-1968, as she detailed her interactions with the late Sheikha Latifa.
Sheikh Mohammed noted that Emirati women step in as "a partner in development … a supporter of the journey... and a maker of generations".
He also wished Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, "Mother of the Nation", a year filled with "health, happiness and goodness".
