His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, says Eid Al Etihad serves as a reminder to uphold the UAE’s principles, values and traditions, and to pass them on to future generations.
In a statement marking the 54th Eid Al Etihad, Sheikh Mohammed reflected on the historic day in 1971, when the Founding Fathers established a unique model of unity in the region and began the UAE’s journey of progress.
He paid tribute to the nation’s early leaders, whose vision continues to guide the country. He also praised the pioneering generation that helped shape the Union’s early years.
Sheikh Mohammed said the youth of the UAE remain the nation’s pride and the promise of its future, commending their commitment to learning, innovation and global engagement.
