UAE servicemen and their families are being invited to free iftars under the majestic Al Wasl Dome until March 15 as Expo City Dubai pays special tribute to the armed forces and the police for keeping the country safe.
The iftars are for Homat Al Watan (Homeland Protectors), which includes Ministry of Defence employees, UAE Armed Forces personnel, Dubai Police officers and retirees.
The iftars are being offered under the Hai Ramadan programme, with no prior booking.
"We are profoundly honoured to host our nation’s protectors. This gesture is a small token of our immense gratitude for the bravery and tireless dedication shown by our armed forces and police in keeping our homes safe," highlighted Amna Abulhoul, Executive Creative Director – Entertainment and Experiences at Expo City Dubai.
Speaking to Dubai Eye 103.8's Agenda on Tuesday, she said Ramadan is the perfect time to honour nation's heroes.
