Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is rolling out rapid traffic upgrades along Al Thanya Street - a vital link between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Wasl Road.
The improvements include upgrading the existing roundabout on Sheikh Zayed Road’s service road leading to Al Thanya Street, constructing a signalised junction at the intersection of Street 10 and Al Thanya Street, and enhancing pedestrian safety with new walkways and crossings.
The works are expected to wrap up by early September, helping ease congestion for drivers heading from Sheikh Zayed Road to Al Thanya Street, and shorten travel times for residents in Umm Al Sheif and Al Manara.
The project also strengthens connections to key residential and commercial areas, while boosting safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
