Dubai is taking transport innovation to new heights with plans to develop a rail bus system, which travels on a bridge equipped with solar panels.
A double-track system that allows transport units to move quickly and efficiently within urban areas is also being planned.
On the sidelines of the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF), the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with two companies specialised in developing and manufacturing transport systems.
The agreements were inked with the UK-based Urban-Mass Company and RAIL BUS Inc. based in the US.
