Dubai Police rescue teams respond to almost 5,000 call-outs in six months

Dubai Police rescue teams responded to 4,870 call-outs across the emirate during the first six months of 2026, highlighting the wide range of emergencies and public assistance requests handled by specialist crews.

The teams responded to road traffic collisions, recovered stranded and damaged vehicles, assisted members of the public and provided support at major events across Dubai. They also carried out rescue operations involving vehicles trapped in sand and responded to requests to unlock vehicles, homes and lifts.

Rescue crews completed 72 emergency training exercises during the period, simulating incidents including traffic collisions, fires, vehicle entrapments and falls from height to strengthen operational preparedness and improve response times.

Dubai Police said the department continues to invest in specialist training, advanced equipment and modern technology to enhance its emergency response capabilities and help protect lives and property across the emirate.
