The Dubai Police General Command has confirmed that a document circulating about the fire that broke out in Jebel Ali Port in July is completely false and baseless.
The authority said no injuries or deaths occurred due to the incident.
It has also called on the public to only share information obtained from official sources.
The fire had erupted in a container on a ship carrying flammable materials, on July 7. It was brought under control within 40 minutes.
The incident took place in Jebel Ali Port's older Terminal 1, used only for small ships.
