Dubai Police SWAT teams clinched the top two spots in the highly competitive fifth edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge that concluded on Wednesday.
Dubai Police's Team B was the overall winner, with an unparalleled performance throughout the five-day event and a final score of 325 points, while Team A took the runners-up slot with a score of 303 points.
Team SARDAR from Kazakhstan came in close third, with 302 points.
Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, awarded the top 10 teams with trophies and accolades.
The UAE SWAT Challenge was held at the Training City in Al Ruwayyah in Dubaiand organised as part of a collaboration between the Ministry of Interior, led by Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Dubai Police.
Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, highlighted the success of the fifth edition and expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for its commitment to supporting the Dubai Police.
He added that the UAE SWAT Challenge "provides an opportunity for police forces to engage with counterparts from around the globe, acquire new skills and strengthen cooperation at both regional and international levels”.
