Dubai Police have been crowned the champions of the UAE Rescue Challenge after securing first place in both the Road Accident and Trauma challenges on Monday at the training city in Al Ruwayyah.
Organised by Dubai Police in cooperation with the World Rescue Organisation, the challenge brought together 15 specialised teams to compete in realistic simulations designed to mirror complex, real-world emergencies.
Held on February 15, the two-day event tested the benchmark performance against leading international standards in rescue and rapid response.
Participating entities included Dubai Police, Civil Defence, Sharjah Civil Defence, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, National Ambulance, the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and the National Guard.
It featured two tracks: the Road Accident Challenge, which involved eight teams competing in complex and standard scenarios, and the Trauma Challenge, where seven teams of paramedics were tested on their response skills to critical injury cases.
Dubai Police Team B claimed first place at the Road Accident Challenge, followed by Dubai Police Team A in second place, while the General Directorate of Civil Defence secured third.
As for the Trauma Challenge, Dubai Police achieved first place, followed by the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services in second, and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence in third.
