Dubai has outlined its vision for the future of the media industry during the Dubai Media Retreat, which brought together leading figures from advertising, marketing, film, gaming and digital media.
More than 100 senior industry leaders attended the event to discuss new opportunities, exchange ideas and help shape the next phase of growth for Dubai’s media sector.
The retreat forms part of ongoing efforts by the Dubai Media Council to strengthen partnerships with the private sector and support the continued development of the emirate’s media ecosystem.
The event featured interactive roundtable discussions focused on key sectors within the industry.
Officials also announced plans to launch a new platform aimed at streamlining media services and supporting industry growth in Dubai.
Recommendations and ideas from the retreat will be compiled into a strategic report set to be released in the near future.
"Today, as global media undergoes a profound transformation, our priority is to ensure Dubai remains at the forefront of this evolution by building one of the world’s most dynamic and globally competitive media ecosystems," said His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.
"Our aim is to build one of the world’s most future-ready media industries, powered by innovation, talent, and strong partnerships between the public and private sectors," he added.
