His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, witnessed the launch of the 'Dubai Digital Twin Platform', marking a major step in the emirate's digital transformation.

The project, led by Dubai Municipality, creates a virtual replica of Dubai, using real-time data to support smarter urban planning, infrastructure management and faster decision-making.

The platform integrates digital 3D models of more than 195,000 buildings, 330,000 public facilities, and 280,000 infrastructure assets across the emirate.

Speaking at a Dubai Municipality workshop, Sheikh Hamdan said the project reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to harness advanced technology and artificial intelligence to build a smarter, more sustainable city.

He added that it will strengthen Dubai's position as a global leader in innovation and digital transformation.

During the event, Dubai Municipality also signed partnership agreements with Al-Futtaim Group and Huawei to expand the platform's capabilities and support its future development.
