The UAE's daily tally of COVID-19 cases has dropped below the 1,000-mark for the first time in nearly two months.
The Ministry of Health confirmed 998 new cases on Friday after conducting 244,993 tests.
Another 989 people have recovered, taking the overall tally to 975,590.
Two patients have died, taking the total fatalities to 2,337.
A total of 996,775 cases have been diagnosed in the UAE so far, out of which 18,848 are currently active.
The last time the UAE reported less than 1,000 cases was on June 8 (867 cases).
