Dubai Police have detained a driver and impounded his car after he was caught doing noisy stunts and damaging public property in Oud Al Muteena.
In a video posted on social media, the police showed the driver creating a nuisance in a residential neighbourhood by deliberately drifting and revving the engine.
Brigadier Essam Ibrahim Al Awar, Deputy Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, said such reckless acts can be unsettling for other residents, causing them anxiety.
The driver, he added, has admitted to the violations after being summoned to the police station.
His car has been impounded for a release fee of AED 50,000 and legal measures have been initiated against him.
