A fire that broke out on Tuesday morning in a residential building on Al Muraqqabat Street is now under control.
Teams from Dubai Civil Defence reached the spot within five minutes of receiving the alert at 9:34 am, with the “medium” level fire having spread between the seventh and eighth floors of the building.
As evacuations progressed, the teams fought the fire to prevent its spread to neighbouring apartments.
At 9:59 am, the ground crew announced that the fire was "under control".
No injuries or deaths were reported.
