A new smart app to monitor the movement of people who are in mandatory home quarantine has been launched in Abu Dhabi.
According to the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi, the “Stay Home” app will ensure people do not violate home quarantine rules, thus limiting the spread of COVID-19.
In a series of Tweets, the Abu Dhabi Media Office explained that the app will update the department about the users' whereabouts and also alert the users "to stay within the range of movement allowed during the quarantine".
Every person asked to self-quarantine at home will get a username and password to be able to use the app. The app then sends alerts that inform users to stay within the range of movement allowed during the quarantine.

A person identified to home quarantine will be able to download the app from Google Play or App Store, and will receive a unique username and password.
