A 50 per cent discount on traffic fines has been announced in Umm Al Quwain, coinciding with the 52nd Union Day.
The offer, which runs from December 1 to January 7, applies to violations committed in the emirate before November 1.
Fines related to serious offences such as dangerous driving, jumping the red light, unauthorised vehicle modifications, as well as exceeding the speed limit by more than 80 kph, are not covered under the discount scheme.
