Apple has abandoned its AirPower wireless charging gadget because it could not make it work efficiently.
The firm’s engineers were unable to stop AirPower, revealed in 2017, from overheating.
"After much effort, we’ve concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have cancelled the project," the firm said.
The white disc was designed to be an all-in-one wireless charger for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods.
