Dubai Is Dubbed One of the World's Greatest Places

As the world continues to grapple with the ongoing pandemic, Time magazine chose to shine a light on ingenuity, creativity, revitalisation, and reopenings in destinations across the globe through the third edition of its annual World’s Greatest Places list. And in this list of 100 extraordinary destinations to explore? Dubai, of course!

Credited for “bringing the world together” – after all, Expo 2020 is only 67 days away – the city is in great company. Siem Reap is being celebrated for its wildlife and wonders, Madrid for its efforts to safeguard tradition, and Taipei for its culture and quiet. To compile this list, Time solicited nominations of places – countries, regions, cities, and towns included – from its international network of correspondents and contributors, with an eye towards those offering new and exciting experiences.
